About Mindinsight

Mindinsight was established by Anne Ward. We work on the premise that people possess many of the resources needed to solve problems. Being able to connect with these strengths is empowering and creates confidence in your ability to make meaningful change.

Goals & Values

Our focus is on understanding you as an individual and working with you to develop a personal plan to address problem areas and achieve your goals. We believe that for learning to be effective, it needs to transfer into your lived experience.

The values that we strive to bring to our work are: Integrity, Authenticity, Reliability and Care

Our Approach

We approach our work through the window of the biological, psychological, social and spiritual aspects of health and wellbeing. This requires an integrated approach that looks at the whole-person, their accumulated life experience and the self-narrative that has emerged from this.

Why See a Psychologist?

Psychology is about what it is to be human. At the heart of being human are our relationships – with others, with the world around us and with ourself.  Our relationships give us the sense of who we are in the world.  This self-narrative influences what we believe is possible and expect from life.  Healthy relationships are core to our mental health, wellbeing and happiness.  Psychologists work at the level of relationships.

Human beings experience life through the interplay of values & motives, thoughts, emotions, needs, and behaviour  – all in the context of an ever-changing world.  Psychologists are skilled in understanding how these dynamics operate and impact our quality of life.

Psychotherapy is not a “one-size-fits-all”.  Psychologists have a duty of care, which includes ensuring that you are fully informed about the rationale for treatment, can make sense of it and consent to treatment recommendations.  This means that you have a right to ask questions to ensure that you are satisfied and comfortable with the advice you are being given.
